A Critical Analysis Of Cartelisation Of MSME Enterprises With Special Reference To Competition Act

ABSTRACT

This research paper will elucidate on the government’s position with regards to the operation of the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) and special reference will be given to the Competition Act of 2002 and other legal provisions enacted by the government. MSMEs are businesses just on a smaller scale as compared to others hence, they are also governed under the Competition Act, 2002. Also, in this research paper the recent trend of MSMEs coming together to tackle competition from big businesses will also be analysed and it will be decided whether such practice should be termed as cartelisation or not.
